Feeling a little bit stuck...

And I'm feeling like I'm going nowhere fast.

But before I whinge TOOO much and you leave because you can't stand to hear another whiny post about me not knowing what to do or which direction to turn, I am working on it.

I am doing morning pages again (the main exercise from The Artists Way which I always find effective and stimulating) and I am reading "Finding my own North Star" which I am really starting to get into. Thanks to Kate one of my first blogging friends, for the recommendation, it's definitely relevant.

Funnily enough (in a sad sort of way) as I'm reading each chapter, it's actually all sounding very familiar, confirming I am waaay off track. Oh boy, am I off track! This book could well have been written for me!

Hopefully soon, as well as describing the smog filled life that I am living and confirming that this is not where I want to be, it's going to give me some answers and help me (help myself) to get outta this mess.

Has anyone else read this? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I haven't read the north star book but agree the morning pages are really useful ... reminds me I should start doing them again! Hoping your stuck clears super fast!

Stuck is never a good place to be. May a following wind soon blow you clear. I haven't read North Star but it sounds intriguing.

I hope the book helps Jacinta. The other thing that I think is great when you're stuck is meditation. There are some great free downloads at this site - http://www.meditationoasis.com/podcast/listen-to-podcast/.

I really love the 'Breathe in the Heart' one. Mary has the most beautifully soothing voice. xx

That is the funniest picture. Somehow I think the mouse will manage to get free. You'll get your self free too. Best way is not to think about it. Things just seem to happen.

Not familiar with that here in the U.S. but you know I understand that feeling. Boy, do I!

I love Artist Way. I'm up to week 8 even though its been over 4 months. :) Its the only reason why I decided to pursue crafting so keep up the morning pages. At least we're all beings in motion so even though we feel stuck sometimes things change and you'll move out of it and into something else!

Nope, haven't come across the book, but I'll be very interested to hear what you think of it.

Good on you for getting back to morning pages, good on you for knowing that you are off track, good on you for facing that fact. All these are steps that will lead to change.

Look forward to crafting with you soon.
